Slitting Lower Blade
The lower blade is the quiet half of a shear cut: it never spins, but every cut depends on its edge staying straight, flat and hard. When it wears or chips, the upper knife starts crushing instead of shearing – and quality drops across the whole web. This lower blade is through-hardened and precision ground to keep the shearing line true.
We produce it from 9CrSi, Cr12MoV, SKD11 or W18Cr4V depending on your material – rubber and metal sheet demand different toughness than film converting – and grind the seat so it mates with your existing upper knife.
Dimensions, edge angle and mounting follow your drawing or a sample of the worn blade, so replacement is a direct swap without re-shimming the machine.

Key Advantages
01True Shear Partner
Flat, straight edge gives the upper knife a clean surface to shear against – crisp cuts, no crushing.
02Through-Hardened Body
Hardness goes through the section, so the blade resists wear under continuous high-load slitting.
03Steel for the Duty
Rubber, foil, film or laminate – we match the steel grade to your material and load.
04Mates with Your Upper Knife
Ground to the same width and geometry as your existing knife, keeping the cut line aligned.
05Stable Dimensions
Strict tolerances on thickness and flatness keep the blade seated without shimming.
06OEM & ODM Service
Produced from drawings or worn samples with first-article inspection on request.

FAQ
Should I replace upper and lower knives together?
We recommend it: matched wear keeps the shear angle right. If replacing only the lower blade, send the upper knife spec and we will grind to mate.
Which steel for rubber slitting?
Cr12MoV and SKD11 are common choices for abrasive rubber; for very high loads we suggest W18Cr4V.
Can you match my machine brand?
Yes – dimensions and mounting follow your drawing or the old blade, so it fits without modification.
How flat is the seat ground?
We hold tight flatness tolerances for shear cutting; tell us your spec and we confirm before production.
Need lower blades for your slitter?
Send the upper knife spec or machine model – quote within 24 hours.
